Fotonaut school of photography is designed to enhance digital photography skills of students at every level. It offers different courses starting with beginners classes, following by intermediate to advance level courses and various workshops.
The school is based in Zagreb, Croatia and it’s been running since 2004. The programme is based on modern photography education concept: students learn about the history and basics of photography principles, how to develop their own style, skill up and advance in specific genres. The classes are structured and theoretical with plenty of illustrative examples, however students are led to create their own work guided by the tutor.
Courses are divided into “modules” which are classroom based, while accompanying workshops are held in the studio and outdoors locations where students can put the knowledge into practice.
Besides classes and workshops, Fotonaut organises exhibitions throughout the year across Croatia and abroad, eg. United Kingdom, Finland, Austria, Italy, Argentina, Turkey, Slovenia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Sweden and others.
Fotonaut is founded and led by one of the most notable photography names in Croatia, mr. sc. Damir Tiljak, who also curates Vladimir Horvat gallery which is a part of The Association of Technical Culture Zagreb, Croatia.
